The tie strap is what sold me—my 18-month-old usually yanks hats off in seconds, but this one stays put through a whole park trip. The neck flap kept him from getting burned at the back of his neck too, which I hadn't even thought about. Total lifesaver for our beach days.

The wide brim actually shades my toddler's neck and eyes during our afternoon walks, and the chin tie keeps it from flying off when she shakes her head. It's held up through three beach trips and still looks new.

Took this to the beach last weekend and my toddler's neck and ears stayed completely covered the whole time, which was my main worry with other hats. The material dries fast after getting splashed too, so it's been back in rotation all summer.
